Production of Cocorette farm eggs is regulated by very strict "Oeuf Fermier Label Rouge" specifications validated by the French Ministry of Agriculture.

Certification of these specifications is carried out at all stages of the process by an independent body: SGS based in Cachan (94).

The 3 main certified characteristics are:

  • Eggs laid in straw-lined nests and collected by hand
  • Eggs from small farms
  • Hens fed with minimum 70% cereals and cereal offal.

 

Cocorette eggs are the only eggs that can legally use the description "Oeufs Fermiers Label Rouge"
