Fernand Payraud, designer, creator and plastic artist.

Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters.

Born in France in 1947, originally from Haute Savoie, he lives and has his studio in Saint-Gervais-Mont-Blanc.

For some forty years, he has travelled the world of the Arts and achieved international succes.

He shows his work in Art Galleries, international Art exibitions and other prestigious locations in Paris, New-york, London, Geneva and Monaco. In 2006, he was made a knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the Minister of Culture in Paris.

Groupe Bouygues spotted this designer in 2003 and commissioned him to produce frescos for a palace at Tashkent in Uzbekistan.

He is today one of the great names in design and seeks to distinguish himself by his fine technique, in which craftsmanship and expertise give concrete form to the idea of magnifying the objet through a truly artistic approach.

Determined to explore the limits of his concept, experimenting with materials and techniques, fernand payraud lifts the function of lighting to the status of a work of art : " the jewel box of light"

Constantly striving for perfection, he develops his research and work through new and rediscovered materials. He used flowing polymethracrylate, as in his frescos and paintings, to create a brand and model registered at the National Institute for Intellectual Property.

Payraud's design has evolved in terms of sensuousness and emotion : with the verticality of each composition emphasising upward movements, the objet is metamorphosed into a dream, a light, a diaphanous mystery with warm,  transparent colours radiating from the interior.

An artist designer who shifts the established paradigms by innovating and creating unique pieces for the delight of collectors.
